Stanley showcased use cases of special illumination at Ueno Toshogu Shrine.

Karamon gate (Chinese style gate)
The Karamon gate (official name: Karahafuzukuri Yotsuashimon gate) in front of the shrine building appears in front of the approach to the temple.
Built in 1651, this is another nationally designated Important Cultural Property, and its extremely elaborate carvings are a highlight.
It was illuminated with LLF0111A GOLD from Stanley’s LEDSFOCUS GOLD series from the front gate, and was lit up with a dazzling effect.

Shrine
Inside the Karamon gate can be found the shrine pavilion glistening in gold.
It is also called “Konjikiden (gold hall)” because of the abundant use of gold leaf, and its gorgeous carvings and patterns produced using a traditional coloring method are highlights.
The dignified appearance of the building, which emerged in the darkness when lit up, was a delight to the eyes of visitors.

Approach
After passing through the large stone entrance, there is a stone-paved approach leading to the shrine.
The path is lined with stone lanterns and was illuminated with Stanley’s LEDSFOCUS PRO series,
creating a fantastic atmosphere with changing colors.
