The Only Gold Light in the World

At the Phoenix Hall of Byodo-in, which is a national treasure and world heritage, our gold floodlights illuminated the Amitabha statue at the main temple and the two phoenixes on the roof. This is the first gold floodlight in Japan. We used two kinds of LED spotlights with ultra narrow light distribution, which differ in their light distribution types, to irradiate the Amitabha statue from inside the main temple with uniformity and 180lux illuminance. The phoenixes were illuminated from the other side of the pond, which was 80m away, and yet the accurate irradiation of the LED floodlights with ultra narrow light angle maintained illuminance as high as 120 lux.
